They quote a cheap charge then add on for everything. They say free software, but fail to tell you only on certain things. They have hidden charges that if you want anything reasonable for your site it will cost you an extra 10.00 per month. They say you should have read the 32 links below to see all the hidden things before signing up. Also note, their site says you always get an answer in 2 mins when you call support but it was over 20 and they put me on hold for 3 to 4 minutes at a time for at least 5 times. This is normal and I expect that from tech support but the other things were a deal breaker. Avoid this host, they are not ethical.

I'm not sure if I will stay with fatcow very much longer. The customer service they provide is very satisfactory, however my website has been running very slow for the past week. Every inquiry with an associate has stated "they are working on the servers and will have it resolved as soon as possible". A week of and a half of waiting for this issue to resolve is poor service.

I encountered ALL the negatives against Fat Cow that its other suckers have itemized here. It was like reading my own experience with them, chapter and verse. They nickle and dime you, make promises they don't keep, and have poor excuses for not keeping them. Then, after you cancel, they have the gall to invite you to rate their service! To cheat me out of a measly $35, they worked worked hard enough to guarantee success and much higher profits in an honest line of work. Makes no sense. And it certainly makes bad business sense. Go figure.

FatCow has the worst customer service and response times you may ever encounter. If you have a problem, be prepared to talk to numerous employees who will pass the issue along without resolution. One of their products, "FormMail" is an absolute disaster. When a potential customer tries to contact you via your website form, their information is jumbled in the email that you receive. Also, the subject line of all customer emails is "FatCow formMail" so you cannot differentiate between cusotmers by the subject line you must open each email to find the customer information you are looking for. In addition, if you try to reply to the customer email it brings up the "FormMail" email address for FatCow rather than the customer email address. When I interfaced with multiple FatCow employees about these issues and escalated the issues, I was told these problems are beyond the scope of the service. This service was standard at my previous web hosting provider and I guess I got spoiled by using a service that actually worked with clear concise customer information with unique subject lines and it keyed on the customers email address so you could respond easily.
When the FatCow representative sold me on moving my service to FatCow, I was told that everything on my exisitng website would work the exact same way. I have so far paid the initial fees to move my website and additional software fees to try to make my customer forms on my website work properly but with all the money I have spent so far my issues have not been resolved and according to FatCow if I do not spend additional money for software changes then my issues will never be resolved. I would not recommend FatCow to my worst enemy. I will be moving my service to a reputable company.
