Not that bad!

I was stumped when I stumbled across these reviews, I hadn't even shopped around before I signed up with these guys. If I had, I doubt very much I would have signed up to Fat Cow but the truth is they're really not that bad. They certainly do have a few issues (otherwise people wouldn't be posting these reviews) but so far my experience with them, especially with their customer service department has been excellent.

I tried to purchase web hosting on Fat Cow. They make you purchse additional services--$12 for their back up plan. I did not intend to purchase this, but was having difficulty entering my phone number into their form. I did it over and over again, and had to keep "deselecting" this restore/back up plan. Well, in my frustration at re-entering my phone number repeatedly, I accidentally purchased a supplement that I didn't want. Customer service refused to refund my $12, so I
said I'd just cancel my whole plan. They didn't show any regrets about losing my account and were curt and obnoxious about cancelling the plan.
Good Price, Crappy Everything Else

We went with FatCow based on price and the fact they had basically all the features we wanted. But the server response is very slow (has been since we started in March) and we even got a virus through them when they a "network issue" that had us down for more than two weeks. Their tier 1 technical support is laughable and a waste of your time - immediately ask for a supervisor or tier 2 or 3 or you're wasting your time. I'll never use them again.

" I signed up for FatCow based on their claim of 100% money back 30 day guarantee. When signing up for my account, I took their strong suggestion to purchase their Domain Privacy,Directory listing, and data backup. After creating a domain name and email address I tried to access their website builder software called CM4all. for the next 24 hours I tried to access the web builder with no success. I spent hours on live chat with sales and tech support and their final suggestion was that I should buy another computer and it should work. It took me several hours of requesting my account be canceled before they finally did so.
Buyer Beware. My 100% refund was actually about 50%. They deducted $15 for domain registration, then told me that there was no refund for the Domain Privacy, Directory listing, or data backup. I never saw any claim of not refunding these services, especially within 24 hours of starting the account. They showed me the fine print.
Claims of customer service and refund guarantee are deceptive and I could not be more disappointed. "
Too slow

After almost 3 weeks with them I will be trying to get my money back and go to another provider because the response time is very slow, it takes about 7 seconds to get a response back from the server when I try to go to my website and another 3 to load. On top of that, the very first day I sign up there was a database problem and I could not set my site up so I'm not sure if it was coincidence or not but I wouldn't count on their reliability.
They better improve their service.
